Today, one in four dying Americans is a Veteran. That's why NorthBay Hospice and Bereavement has a goal to provide services to them by being aware of the challenges these Veterans may now be facing from illness, isolation, or traumatic life experiences. It may begin with a simple thank you and a small token to acknowledge a Veteran's service.
NorthBay Hospice wishes to provide Veterans a sense of dignity and recognition.
Our Way To Help
NorthBay Hospice and Bereavement is in the final stages of reaching the fourth and final level as a Partner in the We Honor Veterans program. Achieving the fourth level demonstrates that NorthBay Hospice has increased access and improved quality of hospice care for Veterans in Solano County. In order to do this, NorthBay Hospice would like to establish funding to provide community education that will develop, implement, and evaluate procedure for transitioning Veterans across venues of care.

These scholarships will be for Veterans that do not have access to hospice services and/or are displaced from living space due to their terminal illness. Providing education and scholarships would expand relationship development with Veteran Administration staff, Veterans Service Organizations, and continue active programming with local, regional, and county service agencies.
